SmoothBallot Terms and Conditions

1. Definitions

• "SmoothBallot" refers to the e-voting platform and services provided by SmoothBallot.
• "User" refers to any individual, organization, or entity using SmoothBallot.
• "Electoral Committee" refers to organizations administering elections through SmoothBallot.
• "Service" refers to all functionalities and features offered by SmoothBallot.

2. Eligibility

To use SmoothBallot, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old or have the necessary authorization.
• Use the platform for lawful election processes only.
• Provide accurate and complete registration details.

3. Use of Services

• SmoothBallot provides secure e-voting solutions for organizations.
• Users must not engage in fraudulent activities, tamper with votes, or attempt unauthorized access.
• Electoral Committees are responsible for configuring and managing their elections within SmoothBallot's guidelines.

4. Voter Acquisition & Responsibility

SmoothBallot allows Electoral Committees to register voters through two methods:

1. CSV File Upload (Recommended) – Users can bulk upload voter data for seamless registration.
2. Accreditation Form – Voters can register individually through a form.

While both options are available, SmoothBallot strongly recommends the CSV file method for a smoother and more controlled voter registration process. SmoothBallot will not be responsible for any issues that arise from using the accreditation form, including but not limited to:

• Inaccurate or duplicate voter entries
• Unauthorized access due to improper form handling
• Delays or disruptions in the election process

Electoral Committees using the accreditation form accept full responsibility for its accuracy and security.

5. Account Security

• Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized account access.

6. Data Privacy & Security

• SmoothBallot follows strict security protocols to protect user data.
• Personal and election data will not be shared with third parties except as required by law or with consent.

7. Payment & Subscription

• Certain features may require payment or subscription.
• Fees are non-refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise.
• SmoothBallot reserves the right to update pricing with prior notice.

8. Intellectual Property

• All content, software, and trademarks associated with SmoothBallot remain our exclusive property.
• Users may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without written permission.

9. Service Availability & Liability

• While we strive for uninterrupted service, we do not guarantee 100% uptime.
• SmoothBallot is not responsible for election outcomes, lost data, or third-party actions.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts violating these terms.

10. Termination of Service

• SmoothBallot reserves the right to terminate accounts that violate our terms or engage in fraudulent activities.
• Users can deactivate accounts by contacting support.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions as needed. Continued use of SmoothBallot after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
